Put in your materials palette foreground color to White and background color to Black

  

1) Open a Transparent Image of 500 x 500 pixels

Selections / Select All

 

2) Activate and Copy / 7.03042011 (pencils) / Paste Into Selection

Selections / Select None

 

3) Duplicate this layer in your layer palette 

 Image / Flip

Layers / Merge / Merge Down

Adjust / Blur / Gaussian Blur / Radius 20.00 

 

4) Effects / Plugins / Unlimited 2.0 / Distortion Filters / Smelter 1 (default)

Effects / Edge Effects / Enhance

Effects / FM Tile Tools / Blend Emboss / with these settings

Edit / Copy

Edit / Paste as new image to use as a pattern / set it to one side

Set the Opacity of you original layer in your layer palette to 70%

 

5) Layers / New Raster Layer

Selections / Load/Save / Load Selection from disk / back to school_Marinette - with these settings

Fill the Selection with Black (background color)

Selections / Modify / Select Selection Borders

6) Layers / New Raster Layer and fill it with the regular pattern you set aside

Keep this pattern because we will need it again

Selections / Select None

Image / Mirror

Effects / 3D Effects / Inner Bevel / with these settings

7) Layers / Merge / Merge Down

Effects / 3D Effects / Drop Shadow / Vertical and Horizontal 3 / Opacity 50 / Blur 12 and color fading to black

Repeat the drop shadow again, but with Vertical and Horizontal -3

 

8) Layers / Merge / Merge All Layers

9) Image / Add Borders / 2 pixels / Color Black / Symmetric checked  

60 pixels / white color

Layers / background layer

 

9) Select the border with the Magic Wand / add mode / tolerance and feather 0

Activate and copy the pattern you set aside and paste into selection

Effects / Plugins / Filter Factory A / Weave / with these settings

10) Effects / Plugins / Unlimited 2.0 / Textures Paper / Canvas Fine / Default settings

Adjust / Sharpness / Sharpen

 

11) Selections / Invert

Effects / 3D Effects / Drop Shadow / Vertical and Horizontal 10 / Opacity 40 / Blur 12 and color to black

Repeat drop shadow but with vertical and horizontal -10

Selections / Select None

 

12) Activate and Copy / 7.03042011 (pencils) Paste as new layer on your image

Image / Resize 70% / Resize all layers unchecked

Activate the selection tool (s) and select the bottom of the pencils (see example)

Edit / Copy

Selections / Select None

Edit / Paste as New Layer and move under the pencils / (see example)

The pencils are now longer

13) Layers / Merge / Merge Down

Adjust / Sharpness / Sharpen

Effects / 3D Effects / Drop Shadow / Vertical 0 / Horizontal -10 / Opacity 40 / Blur 12 and color to black

Image / Free Rotate / 35 degrees left and place in the bottom right corner

 

14) Now we will play a bit with color

Use the Eyedropper Tool (e) and go to one of the pencils (see example)

Left click the mouse and the Foreground color becomes Orange in your materials palette

Right click the mouse while the dropper is still on Orange pencil and you have a background color thats also Orange

15) Activate the pencil 

Now start from the point of the Orange pencil and draw a line to the board and write “test” (see example)

 

16) Activate the Dropper Tool (e) and go stand in a different color pencil - blue for example and then left and right click to change color to blue / Now blue is in your materials palette for the foreground and background color

Activate the Pencil in your Tools and draw a line from the blue pencil to the board and write your name or something.

 

17) Now to play with the other colors of the pencils and feel free to use basic shapes and brushes

When you are finished close the eyes of the two lower layers

 

18) Layers / Merge / Merge Visible

Effects / 3D Effects / Inner bevel / Same settings / and possibly a drop shadow

 

19) Open the eyes of the closed layers

 

20) Layers / Merge / Merge All Layers

 

21) Activate and copy the Wordart_Back school_Marinette / Paste as new layer on your image and place bottom left

 

22) Activate and copy / Gom_Marinette / Paste as new layer on your image

Image / Resize 70% / Resize all layers unchecked

Image / Free Rotate / 35 Degrees / same settings / place under the board on the left

Effects / 3D Effects / Drop Shadow / Vertical 10 / Horizontal 0 / Opacity 50 / Blur 10 and color black

 

23) Layers / New Raster Layer and add your watermark

 

24) Layers / Merge / Merge Visible

 File / Export / PNG Optimization
