Open the Image / Background / BlackPanther

Duplicate the background image by the shift and the d key on your keyboard

 Then close the original

1) Activate your background image

Effects / Plugins / Filters Unlimited 2.0 / VM Toolbox / Tiler (with these settings)

Effects / Edge Effects / Enhance More

 

2) Activate and Copy / Yellow_BlackPanther_MP / Paste as new layer on your image

3) Layers / Load/Save Mask / Load Mask from Disk / 2BitMask09 (with these settings)

Layers / Merge / Merge Group

Effects / Edge Effects / Enhance More

4) Activate the Selection Tool (s) (with these settings)

Select the rectangle of the mask

Layers / New Raster Layer

Activate and Copy / Yellow_BlackPanther_MP/ Paste into selection

Selections / Select None

Effects / Plugins / Flaming Pear / Transtone

Layers / Arrange / Move Down

 

5) Activate the top layer in your layers palette

Activate and Copy / Black Panther / Paste as new layer on your image

Image / Resize 70% / Resize all layers not checked

Move slightly to the right and down over the bottom edge (see my example)

Effects / 3D Effects / Drop Shadow / Vertical 0 / Horizontal 5 / Opacity 40 / Blur 10 and color black

 

6) Activate and Copy / Wordart_Black_MP / Paste as new layer on your image

Place upper left

7) Activate and Copy / Wordart_Panther_MP / Paste as new layer on your image

Place bottom right

 

8) Activate the bottom layer in your layers palette

Effects / 3D Effects / Buttonize (with these settings)

 

9) Activate the top layer in your layers palette

Layers / New Raster Layer add your name and or watermark

 

10) Layers / Merge all Layers

 

11) Image / Add Borders / 5 pixels / Color White / Symmetrical checked

Select this border with the magic wand

Activate and Copy / Yellow_BlackPanther_MP / Paste into selection

Effects / Plugins / Graphics Plus / Cross Shadow (default settings)

Selections / Select None

 

12) In your materials palette set your foreground to gradient / Metal Brass (with these settings)

Now we will add animation

13) Activate the Free Hand Selection Tool (with these settings) 

Select the triangle by the arrow right (see my example)

 

14) Layers / New Raster Layer

Flood Fill with the Gradient

Selections / Select None

Effects / Texture Effects / Blinds (with these settings)

 

Name this layer in your layers palette / R 8

In your layers palette change the blend mode of this layer to Overlay

Duplicate this layer in your layers palette

Image / Mirror

Place it in the top left triangle

Name this layer in your layers palette / L 8

 

15) Activate the bottom layer in your layers palette

Select the rectangle over the triangle

Layers / New Raster Layer and Flood Fill with the Gradient

Selections / Select None

Effects / Texture Effects / Blinds (with the same settings)

Name this layer in your layers palette / R 7

In your layers palette change the blend mode of this layer to Overlay

Duplicate this layer in your layers palette

Image / Mirror

Image / Flip

Name this layer in your layers palette / L 7

 

16) Activate the bottom layer in your layers palette

Select the second rectangle above the triangle

Layers / New Raster Layer and Flood Fill with the Gradient

Selections / Select None

Effects / Texture Effects / Blinds (same settings)

Name this layer in your layers palette the / R 6

Duplicate this layer in your layers palette

Image / Mirror

Image / Flip

Name this layer in your layers palette / L 6

 

Repeat for the remaining rectangles

Remember to activate the bottom layer each time

If everything went well you have this in your layers palette

17)  Close the eyes of all the layers except “R 1 – L 1 and the Background Layer”  

Edit / Copy Merged

 

18) Open Animation Shop

Edit / Paste as New Animation

 

19) Back to PSP

Open the eyes of the R 2 and L 2 layers in your layers palette

Edit / Copy Merged

 

20) Back to Animation Shop

Edit / Paste after current frame

 

21) Back to PSP

Open the eyes of the R 3 and L 3 layers in your layer palette

Edit / Copy Merged

 

22) Back to Animation Shop

Edit / Paste after current frame

 

23) Back to PSP

Open the eyes of the R 4 and L 4 layers in your layers palette

 

24) Back to Animation Shop

Edit / Paste after current frame

 

Back to PSP

Repeat this process with the layers R 5 and L 5 up to and including the layers of R 8 and L 8

 

25) Animation Shop

Now you should have this in Animation Shop

26) Activate / Frame 8

Edit / Paste after current frame

 

27) Animation / Reverse Frames

 

28) Hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard click the left mouse button to select frame 8 and 9

Animation / Frame Properties / View Time / 50

 

29) Image / Animation

File / Save as a Gif file
